    I believe the shield should be unpainted for authenticity, if you want to keep it factory-correct.

    Nice job, Brad. SOS pads also do a nice job cleaning raised white lettering on tires.

    Does anyone know the size bolts that are used to secure it to transmission? When I bought my car, the cover was missing along with the bolts. I have a cover now, but not sure what size the 4 bolts are that secure it.

    Msg Bruno he'll know. I bought some off him for mine but can't recall the size. He may even have another set to sell?

    They are self threading. I bought mine in Home Depot. I don't remember the size.

    I was not happy with those self threading screws. My cover bolt holes
    are drilled and tapped for 1/4-20 machine thread (same as Olds valve
    cover bolts). You can even run a long bolt through and use a nut on the
    other side to retain a clamp (for my trans wiring). Bruce Roe
