Only had to remove 1 header:mad:
    Good thing I enjoy this:rolleyes::D

I see your use of carpet. Elbow protection. When my MIL passed, noone wanted the huge bound carpet she had in her place. I put it in my 2 stall garage, never regreted it, makes falling asleep under the car even easier . I have a planned TC replacement coming up next year, hopefully.
    Happy launches! ........Jim

why not change the rear to 3.73's. 3.42's are ok for a bbb because of torque which the 350 doesn't have. the 350 needs to be at least 3500 to roll.
but ask the other 350's for consultation.
    just my $.02

LOL, I have carpet, heavy plastic covered foam ( some companies ship their bumper covers in 'em, I grab 'em from work) and cardboard, yes its actually pretty comfortable, Max, one of our Collies thinks so too, he was hanging out under the GS with me, then he stood up and got oil/grease on his ear, the wife yelled at me:mad:

I know, needs more gear, but Im stubborn, and I like being an underdog with my 3.42's, 350 and a full weight GS:D
Im gonna get my 12.99 time slip come hell or high water LOL:mad:
The roller cam that's in it seems to have a lumpier idle than the 413 flat tappet that had more duration and overlap, or am I comparing apples to oranges?
I do know since I've switched to the Johnson rollers the cam idles rougher than it did with the noisey Morels, the only thing I can attribute that too is the Morels never completely pumped up like the Johnsons, and the Johnsons are letting the cam act its sizeo_Oo_O

I switch from a hyd cam to a flat tappet blower cam. but I can't recall what we gain in et. (age issue). have to ask the driver.
s/p, little blower, 471.....it was always above 3500....it goes. below that, your just dragging your pokey. lol

You should be running mid 12's like Mike Jr. does with his Skylark. You basically have everything he does....

Theres a guy on the 350 performance group on facebook running like a 12.41 WITH 3.42 gear, he switched to mid 4 series gears and slowed down.
I wonder what Mike Jr's car weighs?

He probably went quicker to the 1/8 then the lack of top end power hindered him because it was in 3rd the whole back half

you can try a 2.75 first gear In The 350 for cheap,..its just a modified 700r gear

Its usually worth a tenth in the 60ft

1BFBFBFF-9EEC-4BE3-83D5-CAEBA4AAEE36.jpeg While the trans is out I figured I’d fix my oil leak from my rear oil line, my copper pipe and compression fittings weren’t doing it.

When I made that exact switch back in the day, it woke that car up. At the time it was a stock SP engine with a TA intake and a KB Mark II cam (was a 4-sp. car) & IIRC (yea, that darn age thing) I picked up .3-.4 sec. and I was running it almost every weekend back then.
That's the guy I was thinking about who I mentioned in my post about the alum. heads last night. Impressive. We were going back and forth for a while on FB last year about his car, but he seemed pretty reserved about the details of his build. He's a member on here too but said he doesn't come on here much, if at all anymore.
