What are you guys running for tranny shields on 70-72 GS with Turbo 400?

I believe I need a trans shield, and not a flexplate shield for a 10 second car?

I have a blanket, but I cant get it to fit with a TH400 in a GS with 2 1/8" headers with stock shifter/shift linkage. My linkage touches my header, and I have no way of squeezing a blanket past it.

    Thank you.

This is what I use, not cheap, just fits well, clear my tranny lines well, clear my column shift linkage no problem.

Only issue is if you want to get to pressure port to check pressures inside.....no way with this on

Is it fairly easy to put on? Any cutting needed?

    Thank you.

Super easy, there are a few of ears that need trimming off with a seawall, other than that it just lays ontop the tranny andvthe give you the required bolts for the top 4 holes, the a strap goes under the pan in the rear.

Since my motor is moved pretty far back I needed to add clearance to my tunnel with a BFH, but if I factory location I dont see this being an issue

So it has straps, and not a bracket, correct? Asking since I have a deep pan.

    Thank you.

Correct a strap very similar to a seat belt.....mine has a deep pan and I had plenty to trim off. I think uncut close to foot off
