trim removal

    Hey guys I am getting ready to send my stainless steel trim out and I need to know how to remove the upper peak moldings and the rocker molding.I would like not to make any bad mistakes.thanks :cool: :cool: :cool:

    The rocker moldings have screws on the underside that need to be removed first. Them you just lift them up to release them from the clips that hold the top in place. They more or less just rest or hang on these clips.

    Upper peak molding just snap on to their clips. Gentle persuasion is needed to unsnap them. Try a putty knife or something similar and slid it under the piece. Move it until you hit a clip and gently pry upward. Then move to the next clip and do the same.

    Don't worry, it's not hard. Just don't be a rock ape and force anything and you'll have no problems. :TU:

    Todd,
    A little advice,When you take the upper peak mouldings off with a flat putty knife or whatever,use a little masking tape on it as it may need a little persuasion to get off and may scratch the paint.
