My x- wife lives in Kenansville NC in some old trailer home and her mom lives next to her in another trailer home. ........a day before the storm hit she e-mailed and said she was " scared to death" and that she was preparing and she was unhappy that she had to work since she has so much to do. I told her to " GET OUT". She had no intention to evacuate. Haven't heard from her since. I'm sure her place took in water . hopefully her home wasn't near trees. Nobody would have to tell me twice to get out.
I have often thought about buying one of these instead of restoring a car, they cost about the same and are amphibious. http://www.mortarinvestments.eu/products/armoured-vehicles-4/ot-90-91#currency=USD
Yes .. I looked up that area when is said about the rivers over flowing. It sounded like Cape Fear River is right near. I could imagine the away areas...... We went on vacation a little over a year ago and seen some of the shacks that people live in by swamps. I was thinking who lives there?
A took a friend to a bone yard in boonies in a county next to Duplin. Until dusk my friend was doing ok even though the weeds were waste high. Then, he began to notice people were coming out of some of the long abandoned vehicles. They were living in there under some difficult conditions. He has refused to ever go back with me.
No doubt......I taking parts off their homes may not be good. To each their own were people live. But I don't see how some people do it. I know some may not have the choice but there is plenty that do. This situation is going to make many people homeless........ I'm sure insurance wasn't on the important list for some that are going to lose it all but their life. I feel bad.
Could be. Its a video on TV that I froze. It it coming toward you (could be backing up) and there are 3 lights on one side and one on the other. It looked very strange.
