Anybody know how to or know where to get info on installing trunk lid torsion bar(s)? My '67 Skylark came with them uninstalled when I bought it, and the PO included 5 of them. I have no idea how they install, and I am getting tired of propping the trunk open. Thanks.

That info is in the 67 Fisher Body book, not the shop manual. There is a special tool to adjust or remove them. You might be able to do it w/o the tool. You can get the book on ebay for 10.-30. or so...Frank

One of mine broke on my '68 Skylark. I bought one from the wrecking yard and put it in, on my back. You (or a buddy) just have to hold the lid up higher than normal to get the one end in the notch. There are three notches on my year car, to set the tension. Piece of cake.
