I do have an oil pan for sale, but its from a 70 GS 350.I think they should be the same.are they not? By the way, this is in excellent condition.Bruno.
Bruno, Thank you for getting back to me. Sadly I am not that familiar with the minutia of Buick chassis changes over the years. The engine is a buick 350 cu in nailhead? How much $?
Figure $50.00plus shipping, whatever that will be,as the prices just keep going up.No,the engine is not a nailhaed, those were made until 1966 ,its a regular 350.Bruno.
sorry about the nailhead reference.. just want to be sure it's a BUICK engine, and not a chevy/olds/pontiac one.. They mixed and matched back then... Can you send a picture and the VIN for the car?
Thanks Bruno.. I am in MASS so shipping will probably a little more.. Was hoping for a picture of the oil pan and the engine designation so it can be compared to the '78 350
John,it actually should be the same,as I am on Long Island,NY.As to the pictures,if you have a bad oil pan, take a picture of it and put it here on V8,as I do not know how to put them here.Usually my grand Kids do it for me,but with the coronavirus,I can't see them for quite a while.Bruno.
IIRC the 78 came with mass amounts of motors.. Buick.. Olds Maybe chevy also.. Make sure you know what you got..
Bruno, I just spoke with the mechanic and he believes that your pan will fit his engine just fine. I really wish I could see a picture of your pan to assess the condition, but if you can't post (or email one) I will have to take your word that it's in excellent condition How would you like to be paid? My e-mail is jgriffin_iii@hotmail.com and I can give you my cell if you want to communicate directly! Thanks!!
Thank you Patrick! It's always good to hear support like that. I am looking forward to getting the part and helping to make my mechanic's day!
Thanks guys.. I have sent him an e-mail and hope to complete the transaction soon. I am fairly new here and am cautious by nature. I feel much better now .
