What is correct for a GS 455 4-speed? Mine is an early September car.

I don't think there is a automatic/four-speed distributor I know there was a carburetor. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Stage one distributor will be different part number but again no difference between automatic and four-speed distributor or stage one carburetor The GS 455 four-speed had its own carburetor 70 stage one 455 four-speed had the same carburetor as a stage one automatic .

Stage 2, you seem very knowledgeable on this. Do you know about 1969 GS 400's? Same senerio?

I would think it would be the same for 69 not sure though but I just found this on an old thread picture of 69 distributor part numbers . IMG_3454.PNG

Brian D would be April 69, H would be August 1969 i'm not sure exactly when production of these distributor started. Maybe someone else could chime in on this. I think either one would work. Production of your car started in August i'm sure GM stock pile distributors and carburetors for the 70 production year.

Makes sense since it's an EARLY build/car.

My 455 4-speed is 9A or 9B. I keep forgetting because one of my other cars is a week off from that one. I know I need the 7040243 carb. I wasn’t sure about the distributor. The 9H6 would be a good date. I just wasn’t sure if the 1111984 was right.

I would like to purchase the 1111984 distributor with the 9H6 date code. I cannot send you a PM it says I am blocked from doing so. You can email me directly at finest20@yahoo.com and we can work out the details. Thanks
