For my '69 Skylark 2 dr. It's our weekend fun car, not a racer. Running 15' x 7" rallys with 225/75-15 Hankooks whitewalls.
I like the whitewalls but they limit tyre options, so I'll probably go black wall.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking at a 225/65 or 225/75. Something a little lower profile than the 75s.

    Thanks for all replies,

    Chris

To have your ride height near stock and the speedo accurate you need about 26 1/2" of height. A 235/60/15 or 245/60/15 will be needed if you want a 60 series. To get the height with a little less width you'd want a 205/70/15. 225/65 would be right, but I don't know who makes that. 215/65 is 26", the same as 235/60. The tires you have now are almost 29" tall; that's taller than stock but if you like it and want wider go with 235/70. See the attached chart or do the math.
