Put a correct year/sized engine back in it. Too tempting to go with something easier to find, but ask around and be patient. You'll be glad you did!:TU:
Great story and nice score! As was mentioned before.. Many hours of busted knuckles and garage memories await
Great deal and story, I'm sure you will get her into her glory and better..Look forward to seeing your build..
That's what I would like to do, Kevin McCulloug. Although I have some customizing I'd like to do to it, I still have the heart of a purist when it comes to the drivetrain. One of my cousins has several 455s I could place in it. While another cousin is encouraging me to go the LS route.
Thanks, Angelorayhurst. I have a vision for her already. Although she has customization in her future, I don't want to deviate too far from her originality. Example, her interior I love. I've never seen one in that color. For the exterior I'm thinking white with a pearl. Or have exterior color to match the interior.
Happy New Year to each and every member to V8Buick.com! Here are some pictures of some accessories/parts I've purchases for my '64 Wildcat.
Nailhead engine - good job. I was going to say take the person suggesting an LS motor outside and shoot them Let me know if you end up with any 'for sale' spares of the wheels it came with, I only have 4 and one of those is damaged, looking for another and a spare.
Just found this thread. Nice to start with a solid car. Nicer yet that you saved a car that was too clean to left to rot or parted. Some progress pics???
