Nothingface5384 Detail To Oil - Car Care

This is mainly for The street car that goes to the track, and not for the dedicated track only cars...
This is also mainly for the 68-72 cars but some products are offered for 66/67 and all dse products are made for 64-77 along with G-body, and X-bodies!

    Rear Suspension Setup

    Upper/Lower Control Arms: (Trailing Arms)

    STREET/DRAG
Edelbrock adjustable aluminum tubular arms (sperical ends)
Currie billet aluminum Currectrac arms (sperical ends)

    STREET/AUTO-X/Road Race
    Detroit Speed (DSE) Swivel-link arms

    Control Arm Relocation:

    DRAG
TA Performance NO-Hop Bars(Traction Eliminator bars)
also may use UMI lift bars(replaces lower control arm) along with their upper control arms with dual roto joints(sperical ends)

    Auto-X/Road Race
Umi control arm relocation brackets(great for lowered cars)

Both styles work well on the street

    Control Arm Braces:

Theres 3 designs here..pick which ever you feel is designed better or buy lowest cost

    global west style braces
    edelbrock slotted tab style brace
    hotchkis/umi/DSE bolt sleeve style brace

    Traction Devices:

    Springs:

This is really dependant on what you plan to do with the car, along with rim/tire combo!

    STREET

    DRAG
any drag shock 90/10 ratio and 50/50 rear

    AUTO-X/ROAD RACE
either VariShock bolt-in shocks or Coilovers

    Bushings:
poly urthene on all mounts except at the ears(Rubber).correct?

    Front Suspension Setup

    Disc Spindles:
I'd reccomend staying with stock spindles, unless you plan to go after the best handling to be had and dont mind 17+rims, Also AVOID drop spindles as they all typicaly drop the car roughly 2 inches and cause more negatives then pros.
    UPDATE
    http://www.lhkustoms.com/products.htm
They 're the first to offer a tall stock height spindle...no drop, but relocates the upper balljoints...while their steering arms does a better job then doing the tall lower ball joints with stock spindle/arms.....THIS WORKS WITH 14/15 INCH RIMS!
Only aftermarket Spindle i'd reccomend would be...

ATSAFX spindles with their steering arms(17+rims)
Street-Comp AFX is the result of a combined effort by SC&C and ATS featuring application specific adj. tubular upper arms and the radical new AFX forged aluminum spindles with the following features:

-1.4" taller for improved camber curves and roll center with minimal tire wear
    - Super heavy duty C5/C6 Corvette hub/bearing packs with wheel speed sensors
    - Integral mounts for C5/C6 Corvette brakes
    - Relocated steering arms mounting holes for near zero bumpsteer
    - A and G body spindles include A and G body specific steering arms
    - 7/8" drop in ride height
Get the ULTIMATE in bolt on street performance with Street-Comp AFX
ps cool options are abs/traction control and ability for AWD...I emailed about the awd config :-D

Howe upper/lower Modular TALL Ball Joint Combo
They drop the car a tad but improve handeling greatly

    Upper/Lower Control Arms:

SPC PRO-Lite upper adjustable aluminum tubular arms
