Call me crazy but it seems it would have been easier to pull the other fender rather than mask it like that.
With the hood and bumper already off, it's only about 10-15 minutes to get the fender off. But that would likely lead to more repairs..
Looking forward to seeing it finished this summer at the train station, beach, or for that matter any place cars will be allowed to gather .
Thanks for taking care of all these little details before I take possession of the car Jason, I really appreciate it! Haha. But seriously, this car is already stunning in person, flaws be damned. Now your taking it to 11!
And she's back home!!! Got her back just in time before it started pouring. What a difference. That had to be the most bang for the buck Ive done on her to date. Next up on the hit parade are the front seats. The seat springs are completely sagged out. I feel like Im sitting on the floor. Luckily, I have a world class upholstery shop literally walking distance from my house. Not the cheapest in town but he does awesome work. There are very few people I trust working on my car, this guy is one of like 3 people. He told me to drop them off anytime. He said he's got everything in stock for GM buckets ....nice!! While the seats are gone, the trunk is getting a redo- Im going to prep it and give it a fresh coat of black/aqua spatter paint After that, I think Im done tll next winter! LOL As soo as I get her back out of the garage I'll take a few pics for you guys
I bought a couple cans from inline tube. Just not sure how to prep the trunk. Someone spray bombed it with undercoat and black paint over the years.
I was thinking about hitting the trunk with a wire wheel and 80 grit. but theres gotta be a better way
I just redid my buckets last week with new springs and new foams. I feel like i am sitting 3 or 4 inches taller. Definitely a big difference...
Yeah, Brett said the same thing about gaining 4 inches in height. Its gonna be another big difference. Amazing how much stuff you can get done when you can concentrate on just one car.
