Old thread seems to have fallen to the wayside. Really enjoyed it.
I sanded out my dash, glovebox door , ashtray and steering column to prep for paint. Cleaned em up , and am in the process of shooting 2 coats of epoxy sealer on all of it today. Flipped the trunklid and shot the underside of that as well.

It doesn't ever end, and that's a good thing. (Most of the time)

Got my garage door spring fixed! (Easier to take the Buick out now)

Hoping to go to the local apple ranch and get some mighty tasty fresh apples & cider. I strangely found out, it's a hobby for the guy. His plumbing biz really brings the $$ in.

I like/miss this thread too. Thanks for starting it again.

MY, WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE...

Havent been wanting to bore anyone with boat stuff, but took all summer doing blown off maintenance s items that have fallen by the wayside for the last 5 or so years.

The lousy piece of wood shown represents 140 (!!) hours of up and down and back to the house for a trim and back to the boat for a fit X50. I used to keep a table saw on the boat and do this stuff all winter. Kinda hard to do up here with the frozen tundra and LONGGGG nites!

Finished up on the spider webbing, and tomorrow (if it don't rain again), it'll get covered and shrink wrapped and tha'll be a "WRAP" (haha) for this year. Then I can get to the shop and start some Buick related stuff. Happy boating guys!

BTW, being on topic, the good 'ol' KLEIN crimpers vs some Greenlee jobs. The GL's are really good for close in area where some wire stripping is needed. The Klein's need to close and spin on the insulation. The GLs strip it clean but don't crimp too well. The Klein's are used FREQUENTLY to make short machine screws for gages and electrical stuff. I rarely use a hacksaw for that stuff anymore; even stainless screws! Some one here had an issue with short wires on a starter, and these may have helped. Available at Menards... ws

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Saturday, Wife and I, along with some neighbors/friends, went to Aaron's Mud Bog at Shagbark Farms here in Caledonia. Quite a variety of mud vehicles (some crap too) running freestyle in a very large area with varying mud depth. There are videos on the net.
Today, I put most of the patio/deck furniture away. I changed the oil, cleaned up and put the Roadster away for winter. Now, I'm betting that after this next week of predicted crappy weather, it will be warm and dry again.

Opening weekend rifle season for them four legged critters. I was in the stand for 9 hours over two days. Saw two, didn't take a shot.

Also spent some time fine tuning the 71 Stage car since I got the rebuilt carb back earlier this week.

Suffering from jetlag...didn't do much of anything besides mope around the house. Back to work tomorrow...(expletive deleted).
Did manage to get into the garage and just sit in one of my big Buicks, - after a couple of weeks in crowded spaces it was kind of nice to view a hood that was larger than the car we rented.

Went to dinner with the in-laws, winterized the motorhome, and put some of the cars in storage. Winter is on the way.

No Buick stuff this weekend, but finally caught a break from house renovation/update work (other than mowing, that seemingly never ends). Shot an "amateur" 3 gun competition yesterday, had an absolute blast. It was the most fun I've had in a while. Mowed grass and met of with a few friends today. Back to the grind tomorrow... :(

Wow, to you "up north" people... Sorry about hearing your heartache stories. Winter is coming!!! Finally we can do something down here without sweating. Bill, I ALWAYS love hearing about your boat even if you are putting her away for the winter.
I had a GREAT weekend! Yesterday we had a big family birthday party for a 1 year old, good BBQ, and a bonfire afterwards. Today my buddy came over to help me put the gas tank back in my 92 Chevy long bed. As Toby Keith sang, "I ain't what I used to be." That tank is BIG and one old man just doesn't do it. We got it in, laughed our butts off, and drank some beer. Then we put a tune up on the Buick, did some burnouts on the newly asphalted street, and drank some more beer.
    Weekend was a success!!!

Well, today I picked up my Buick from Torqued 455 (Bob O). He installed my JW built motor. Other than a pesky oil leak, it is a great motot. Dynoed at 511 hp at the flexplate. Bob did a great job with my install. Drove the car 125 miles, then put it away for the winter.

Have started a project that I have been putting off for nearly a year - removing, prepping, and painting 14 plastic shutters on the house. The Florida sun does a job on them. Later today I will head out to try to buy a dozen rattle cans of the green color that I need. I'm also going to try to find some UV spray to try to protect the paint. Not a difficult job, but boring and a PIA. I'd post a couple of before and after photos, but lately this computer has been ornery about loading stuff.

I started re-screening our back porch. The cats have ripped it up over the years trying to catch bugs. I am using "Pet Screen" this time, much stronger than regular screen. It looks good so far but 16 more panels to go...

Wetsand, cut n buff, start assembly, let's see......hoping to be on the road and putting miles on next spring, take her to the track, summer or fall. Dats da plan Stan. Already drifted it round the neighborhood, dem lil tires are useless, and it's super light with no fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid or interior. Lol...

Bill I've always wondered, how do you get a boat like that out of the water and on stands?

My grandson was baptized yesterday, and I’m recuperating from having a couple of too-big-to-exit kidney stones removed. My son drove 180 miles (both ways), picked the wife and I up, and took us in a driving rain because “your grandson NEEDS you there, dad.” It was fantastic, even though I’ve got a couple of stents installed, and was uncomfortable most of the time. I wouldn’t have missed it for anything. The part that had everyone scratching their heads was when my ex-wife offered to drive my wife and I back home (we made it safely).

Missed this weekly thread too......Gave the daily beater one last wash and wax before the snow flies and they put the crap on the streets so it can continue it's "patina-ing" into oblivion. Swapped out it's regular Performer intake and Holley for an RPM and 750 AFB and spent Saturday morning tuning.....change step up springs, drive. Change again, drive same loop. Change accelerator pump position, drive. Change again, drive.....metering rod changes, jets, fuel screws, yadyada....got her about perfect after 100 or so miles of loop testing. She's pretty violent now, running good. Also got the moon discs and snow tires out and ready. Any day now it'll be back to Bonneville push truck lookalike mode again.....
