Recharging a/c, went to O'reillys and was told 134 was $18/can. Wife went to Walmart and I called here to see if they had any. Got call back, all you want for $4/can. Just had her get 4 as I was leery about what it was. Yep, good old R134. Did have to go to AZ to buy the little adapter that all the new cans of R134 require. Only $3.00. Seems like a good deal to me!
O’Really’s is bad about gouging the walk in customer on little stuff; wipers, bulbs, filters and the like. I guess on bigger stuff like rotating electrical and brake parts people are more likely to comparison shop. Patrick
Still 4$ is cheap for the 12oz can. Haven't paid that in last 8 or so years. Last time I saw it at 4$ I bought 2 cases
Walmart .com shows Super tech 12oz cans for 4.88$ but out of stock and several other marked in store purchase only with no pricing
Always buy my 134 at Wal Mart. Had some older cars that drank the stuff like beer, so I usually get the 134 with stop leak, which is about $8/can if I remember right. Stores I go in usually have huge displays with thousands of cans in the middle of the isles in the summer, next to the sunscreen, beach balls, and other summer necessities.
