Looking for a garaged, clean, original unmolested 1971-1973 boat tail Riviera or a 1974 Riviera stage 1. Must be solid with no rust repairs. Prefer less than 75k miles. What do you have? Thanks, Larry

this is a 1972 Buick Riviera Boattail, I'm asking 8,500 obo. The car has completely been gone through, has a better than new carburetor, runs and drives. this car came from Arizona where its spent its entire life, so the car is solid. There are a few spots on the rear end of the car that need to be repainted but she is a solid. If you have any questions feel free to text me anytime. (636) 2one9-8four5two. - Jeff

    Hi,
I have a good friend that is thinking about selling his 73 Stage 1 GS Riv. He purchased the car out of Texas about 20 years ago. It has around 56,000 miles. No rust, original paint on quite a bit of the car. A few minor door dings. I think the color is colonial yellow.(butterscotch color) with brown vinyl top and brown cloth interior. Buckets, full console, tilt, cruise, a/c, windows, locks, power antenna, and driver's seat. Not sure what he will want for it. Thinking around 15k.

For Sale 1974 Buick Riviera GS Stage 1 This was my father’s pride and joy he was the 2 owner and purchased it in 1976. It has as little more than 40 thousand original miles. After my father passed away it stayed in my mom’s garage for about 30 years it is now my car after I lost my mom in 2013 and I pulled her out of the garage and began to clean her up and see if she still ticked (the Riviera that is). I had her checked out and made sure everything was good before we finally started her up a few months ago and she runs like a champ starts up and almost purrs. She is all original and as the pictures will show she is in extremely excellent condition inside and outside there is only a couple things to fix. It needs tires and is missing the bumper filler piece between bumper and car. The color I believe is called Nutmeg. She is a beauty and remember there were only a little over 1600 made that year that had the GS Stage 1 package. Oh and I also have the original window sticker from the dealer that shows everything the car had and price of all with the total amount the car sold for the year it left flint Michigan plant.

Hi Denise my name is John W. I live in New Jersey and own a 1974 Buick Riviera GS Stage 1 in Sand Beige and saddle interior. There were exactly 1698 Stage 1 cars made. There were exactly 329 Rivieras that got air bags installed in them. There were exactly 5 Rivieras that got Max-Trac (traction control) in them. Yes this is the rarest Riviera around. There were total of 360 Rivieras that got the airbags. These are airbags just like in today's cars. They were done quietly at the factory from 1974 to 1976 and no customer ever ordered an airbag car. People were not ready for airbags back then. They did 25 cars in 1975 and 6 in 1976 for the total of 360 Rivieras. The man who developed the propulsion for the airbags, David Breed, lived a few towns from me but now he is gone after he sold it to the car makers. My car has the Stage 1 engine, Max-Trac, Air Cushion Restraint System, Comfortron, Stereo 8-track, Ride & handling package, Posi-traction, leather, suede and vinyl power seats, power windows & locks, electric rear defroster, twilight sentinel, power antenna and other items. My car was also made in Flint on 2/26/74 but she was not sold finally until 7/8/76 because no one wanted the airbags. Imagine that she sat on the dealer for lot 2 1/2 years until sold. I am the 2nd owner of this car. I have the original bill of sale, the build sheet, the recall notice (front suspension) and the story of the car. She was found in a barn near Pittsburgh, Pa. I paid $1000 for the car dragged it home and tore it apart. Unfortunately my car is a rot bucket from one end to the other. My car has 88,911 original miles on it. The motor was locked when I got it but it is apart now and the block looks good. I am a member of Riviera Owners Association. I would really like to talk to you about your car and my car and share stories. If you would like to know more about this specific car let me know and I can give you my number.

    Thank you,

    John W.
