So in hour into returning the dirt bike. It was just getting Dark. My wife called me to see how things were. I told her i was by myself. Driving to Pine city to return the bike. She said who’s with you. I said no one. I let the guys drink and swim at the Logan West Virginia Holiday inn Express. She said what ever you do. Do not stop anywhere! For Gas or 7 elevens. I said what’s the Big Deal. She use to work for Encompass Insurance. And she had 12 guys that worked for her. (Allstate) She said you have no idea at night how bad it is down there. Drug Capitol of the east coast. I said are you for real? She said just promise me and get the Hell out of there.
Just got back from a conference in Orlando. As hot as it is there I can’t IMAGINE dragging a load of kids through Disney and even remotely enjoying it. It’s hot in Pensacola but my 60 year-old azz got out and mowed my yard today and I’m about to head out to the shop to work on the hotrods a bit. Hell, it ain’t hot! On the flip side bough, we could use a small tropical system to pay us a visit and flush this crap out. Weather is usually supreme after a storm.
Really? Its been 95- 100 + here everyday for the last 8 weeks. I work outside in it. Feels like money to me
going on 9am here on Long Island 87* with realfeel of 95*according to Wunderground .. woke up @ 6a to get a few things done and thats it for me being outside today except for me going out every couple of hours to kiss my central A/C unit and tell her how much I love her. Pre-Chilled the house down to 70* overnight as a head-start for today. I'm being kind and have upped it to 73* for now, will bring it up to 75* in a few hours when she's hot and working hard ..
I remember one year at the BPG Nats when it was STUPID hottt .. I must have drank about 2 dozen bottles of water/ice tea and didnt hit the pee booth once
Did a full install/ change out and duct job Friday. Got there before 8 and was done and on the way home before 1 pm. Soaking wet. Socks, belt, wallet. Swap ass to the max. Came back to the shop put on dry clothes, went back out to run service the rest of the day. Very next call back under a house. This morning had a condenser change out. Not to bad. couple of service calls in the afternoon. Nice long nap around 3 pm. Cleaned the pool just before dark. Maybe 85 outside now.
I was in LA today in a backyard under big trees standing by a bbq girl and felt a nice ocean breeze. It was a good day
I'm in South Carolina now, moved from New York 6 years ago, what a difference ! Get out early and get things done, come home and enjoy the central AC for the hottest time of the day. After the sun goes down, break out your Buick convertible and enjoy a nice ride with the top down . If you happen to venture out during the day time you'll be able to warm up a hot meal in the car while your in the store shopping. Within 10 minutes the temperature in a parked car in the sun will fry your ass. I still see many people down here riding around with the tops down in their vert like it was nothing. One hour in the sun down here equals a whole day in the sun up in N.Y.
