It's 18 degrees in Dallas this morning. If it's 18 here, it must really be cold up North. What temps are all of you enduring this morning?
It's supposed to be close to 70 degrees here by Monday, but this sucks! I don't see how you boys do it.
Got up this morning at 6 and it must have been down to 60.... Man its rough here:Brow: But it is raining right now:af:
Hey AL!!!! Where you been?!?!?!?! Check out this thread. I should be calling you in 2 weeks to assist in degreeing my cam. The SOB should really run! http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11826 out
You guys got it rough....... it was -12 here last night ......it is warming up real nice though..... now it is only -7* The high today ....... 4* Thats strip naked and go swimmin' weather!! Yeehaaa!
-12* here also this morning, with a projected high of +3*. Cold enough that the hydraulic clutch in my truck was a little slow in engaging from the time I would let the peddle up. VRROOOM!
I'll tell ya.... I've lived in MI all my life except for the last 3 years. Drivin through rain, snow, black ice, freezing rain, even drivin a bmw on a detroit ice rink (that was fun :TU: )....you name it. And wen it rains down here the roads are like ice, although its only for the first half hour or so. I never had as much prob's in MI with my 455 in the winter as I have down here in the rainuzzled: Not that I'm saying its worse down here... OR that I have it bad..... It is beutiful (sp?) down here.... I'll only go back to MI for vacation... (now thats backwards isn't it...lol)
I'd deal with slippery roads when it's warm as opposed to slippery roads with my Olds choking and coughing because it's so bloody cold that even it doesn't wanna go in the mornings! Or dead batteries, or windshield wipers that get stuck to the glass and pull away from the arms (the old set...), or sliding sideways into snow drifts, and all that rot. I'd much rather deal with slippery for 30 minutes as opposed to 3 months, man. So I must say. awww...po' baby!
It's 20 degrees (9 degrees w/wind chill) here in Upstate South Carolina right now. Snow & ice everywhere. It snowed about 3 inches last night and that is usually enough to bring things to a standstill around here.
I must say tho... the the family and I will be stopping in Indiana and MI for about a week or two in late Feb. for a vacation. I am looking forward to seeing some snow. I doo miss it (but not too much). My kids have never seen snow so I hope there's still some left...lol.
before the windchil the high is a nickel But after the wind-chill, should reach -34 their talking. My car took about 20 minutes to warm up today at idol, and I have to walk at least 15 minutes to one of my classes today. Funny part is this, after walking as fast as I can, then going into a 70 degree building, (like 70 degree instantaneous change) I start sweating. :spank: Old man winter can have it.
At 10:15 AM, the thermometer on the porch said 0 (that's about -18* C for you Frenchies up North). I think its supposed to go up to 8 today, though. Next week, the paper is saying 30's and 40's. Maybe I'll wash my truck, and find out what color it is. Oh... btw, did you know we're supposed to be having a drought!! I know it's getting bad out west, but I had no idea it's that dry around here (Pittsburgh). At new years, it rained 2 or 3 inches, and we've had a little snow every day since then.
Re: before the windchil the high is a nickel And that figure is based on the new way they calculate it, which isn't as low a number as it used to be. So, going by the old way it must be what?..... -45*? Colder than a witches *@#!
It was -8 this morning in Sheboygan WI. Wind chills in the 20 to 30 below range. Acutally it's not to bad, comapred to normal winters. It's those days with the wind chill at 35 or less below, that really hurt. I know it was several degrees cooler 100 miles north of me. Brett
