Just talked to the owner Buzz Witte-nice guy that likes to talk old cars.
The 65 Riviera is still NOT for sale- some of the cars pictured are.
The location is Cumberland,WI--called YesterCars Restoration
    Phone is 715-822-4040
    Good Luck!

    Guys,
Dan Lapham and I just got back from Beautiful Cumberland, WI. There are quite a few cars there, not just the 65 GS. There is a 62 Wildcat that looks like it might be restorable, complete down to the tachometer. There is a 66 225 convert that is very salvageable, still has the double white stripe tires! We saw some early 60's specials that were in good shape too. Also saw a couple of Kennedy Lincolns. There are a lot of Mopars, some of them very rare.
The downside of all the cars is that they have been exposed to the elements for years! There is a Twin "H" Power Hudson in the lot/yard that is a basket case, but complete and untouched under the hood. The car is soooo rusty that the driver side lower control arm is nearly rusted in half!
For the most part, 90% of the cars are complete, but only about 20-30% would be restorable. It is good to see that they are still around, but sad to see how the weather and time have taken there toll on them. I hope Dan will fill in what I missed!

Tim pretty well covered it- I was sorry to see the cars in such tough shape. These look like they have been outside for years-many with broken/missing glass-full of leaves-water-lots of deterioration that barn/inside storage would have helped. The owners attitude seems more like a boneyard than a restoration business-oh well.

Did the owner seem like he would sell ANY of the cars there? Like I said, that '68 Charger and the '62 Wildcat you guys mentioned have really peaked my interest :Brow: .

Call and talk to Buzz. He plays like there are a lot of 65 rivs for sale "like his".
When I talked to him in person and told him not really,he knew that I knew what a Gran Sport Riv was and then wanted crazy money. He knows what he's got but will never get to restoring all of them. Maybe waving green cash around will get his attention and then he will know that you are a serious buyer.

Andy-I think the best thing would be to go take a look. The Wildcat was hit in the back and it's been sitting in the woods with the back window knocked out for many years-I'd be surprised if there are any floors left. Hard to evaluate a car with out getting them up in the air-I'd bring a low profile floor jack and some plywwod as this is dirt/gravel-most of these are sitting as at an old time boneyard=a non roller with frozen brakes and flat tires. Like Mike said -bring your green, but expect the locked up engines, ect-

    Andy,
Look at the picture of that 68 Charger again, paying special attention to the "angle" of the seats. The floors are totally gone, causing the list of the buckets toward the doors. If you are interested in a 62 'cat, there is a much better one with a parts car at a small dealer on I 94 at Clear Lake. $4500.00 for both cars.
    Take Care,
    Tim
