I'm refinishing the console and other plastic parts on my 72 GS 350. SEM makes 3 blacks: Satin, Landau, and Gloss. I believe it's actually between Satin and Landau. Does anyone know which is the correct one

Landau is what I use for all the plastic stuff. It's like semi, not too glossy, not too dull. It's appearance does vary depending on the humidity when it's sprayed, and the distance it's sprayed at. But it's pretty much dead on in my book.

I used the SEM Landau black for over 20 years, and was very happy with it. A few years back, they came out with their Satin black, and I have been using that ever since. I think it leaves a more natural look.

I did mine in their Semi and even though my wife HATES it I love it!
She keeps accusing me of it getting on her side of the bed but I am about positive it NEVER leaves my arms!o_O IMG_2064.JPG

Yep,I did the exact same thing. If the gloss was too much or flat & Semi wasn't enough I played around with those till I got it close as possible without assistance of a Color-eye machine.

Good luck and post some pictures: )

The lense in my consolette has a hairline crack in it. Any ideas for replacing it? Thanks Marc
