I am ready to purchase a flat,bolt-on fiberglass hood, for my 70 Stage 2 project. I have normally dealt with Glasstek for all of my other fiberglass projects, but not for a Buick yet. Has anyone had or seen Glasstek and VFN to compare which one might be better? Glasstek usually has a nicer finish on the underside, but maybe VFN has improved.
I have a US body source hood and a VFN hood . Both are pin on . VFN is much higher quality but slightly heavier
I have a Glasstek on our '67 Skylark. Fits perfect. I have used Harwood on several Camaros. The fit was decent, but a bit of drop down edge trimming was required on a couple.
I've used VFN in the past, and very pleased with the fit and quality. On my new 64 build I bought Glasstek parts and they look fine, but a bit on the thinner/ lighter side. I would consider both of good quality.
