What car is this?

'59 2 door hard top Impalas and Elcaminos are definitely my favorite Chevs. The taillights and batwings just nail it.

 

"Bat Wings" are what we called them.

 

The flattop actually bled into 1961 on some models

 

I'm a 59 fan all gm but had to add how can we leave out 59 caddy ?
All caddy models I love cause of the pure excess. But with the idea of the thread in mind who can not love a 59 flattop

 

Any info why these things would lift from the back when ran fast?
