I found this "Stripes are orange. Use Dupli-color GM249"

Are they really orange? Is this the correct color?

Anyone used the same color red on their rocker moldings as on the GS emblems? The code is found on the site was Testors Red number 1103 and that is model paint. I need a color# to give my bodyshop guy.

I would think that having the emblems match the rockers would look more complete than having orange on the rockers and red on the emblems?:Do No:

I used 1/4" red pinstripe as well. Looks awesome. Get two rolls. One doesnt quite do two rockers.

I am not sure about the paint, you could use the search function and verify but I think it is the same color as Buick engine paint.

was not orange but red. Try a universal red engine paint. No one will notice. The pinstripe is a good idea. Easier to get straight. That Tomato red is a close match. I know many people use it.

Just like the posted earlier, red pin strip works great and stick to stainless better then paint, AL.

    copied from the above link:
Sometimes the tape has a tendency to peel.
I use DupliColor DH1608 Buick engine paint.
Scuff the stainless with a scotch brite pad, mask with 1/4" tape and
    spray a couple light coats.

I used the pin stripe and its been on there for several years now...

I used the "tomatoe red" pin stripe tape and put it on in 1994 . It still looks good and holding up well .

I used the tomato red pinstrip method myself about 3 years ago. Easy to install and looks great IMO. If you don't like it...easy to remove!
