I like both Gulfstream and Diplomate Blue. I would end up going with Gulfstream if I had to choose. Mark
Not to come across like Capt. Obvious but if your leaning towards one color like the green or blue, I don't think you can go wrong with the white contrast. The more medium in color tone will compliment the white in a very "classy and suttle" way. Sometimes you can get too much contrast with extreme darks against white top in my humble opinion. Also, if you are open to adding some metallic to the paint mix you may see it really pop when you spray out some test panels! Will be fun to see what you end up with; good luck and enjoy!
I hate to add to the problem but... Aqua Mist is the most beautiful color with the white top and white interior in my opinion! There are some pictures on the internet of this color on a 70 convertible and its stunning!
If you’re building it to sell , I’d scrape the green and do Strato - Mist Blue . You’ll be glad you did when it sells for 2X a green car .
I love all 3 colors.....not one bad choice.....painted it what ever 1970 color makes you happy I had the pleasure of maintaining and caring for this Beauty....we all know the previous owner that restored this Stunning 1970 Stage1 Convertible 4 Speed in Gulfstream Blue. Enjoy these beautiful pictures. View attachment 498907
You would cut the potential buyer base into a third with Seafoam,..Diplomat or strato would be your most attractive to buyers Silver with white is very good looking also And Burgandy mist over white is badass
If your going for different do the paint in the rare Fire Glow with bright white int and top. ( Legendary can and will do the 70 pattern in bright white instead of pearl ) Get people really wondering lol
good thing this thing is a ways away from paint. You all have me royally confused now!!! Of course is someone want's to buy it now I'll paint it what ever color they want!!
I originally voted for Sherwood Green. Then I read your post about resale so I changed my vote to Gulfstream Blue. If it was mine to keep, it would be Sherwood Green.
Ok guys. You've got me all perplexed now. Did some spray outs. Wondering about a saddle interior now. Geeezus.
Seamist green with white interior and top, tinted glass, red GS emblems and red striped rocker panel moldings something to behold. It is so pretty/classy/beautiful, it will bring a tear to your eye.
