i have a 1970 4-door skylark but im having the hardest time figuring out what color to go with. at first i was sure to go with that black paint and off white interior as i seen many here and it looks just amazing. but i was walking to my car the other day in the rain and was tempted to keep it the color it is right now and just re paint it (brown/gold):Do No: any suggestions would be apreciate it. thanks

Go with your heart on the color. If you like the gold, then go for it, after all it's your car and you have to live with it. Black can be nice but the car must be straight. Couple of color suggestions....before I painted mine I was torn between Burnished cinnimon and Bittersweet mist. I'm glad I went with the Cinnimon as I have saddle interior. Bittersweet IMO looks nice with Sandlewood interior.

One thing to consider is the cost of changing the color of the car. Unless you are doing it yourself and pulling everything apart and painting each piece inside and out.
Much easier to stay with original color if you are keeping the car together while painting. Then inside doors, jams, under trunk and all of that area will still match.

Just my .02. Other than that, fire red or Black are my favorites.

    >>My Buick is burnished cinnimon with a sandalwood interior and it is a great combo as well. Check out some of the pics of various Buicks on this board to give you some ideas of what color combo you want to go with.
