what glue for repairing a 1970 gs grill

    a peice broke off my grill. what is the best type of adhesive to use to glue the peice back in place? thanks

    I have had good luck with pvc cement.

    It depends on which piece broke off. If it's in the mesh area of the grill, use either pvc cement like 1970L75conv suggested, or even super glue. If it's a structural piece, I'd use a good 2 part epoxy.

    Original grilles were made of ABS plastic. So use ABS cement.

    Use the two part product by Versa-Chem called plasti-weld. This stuff melds into the grille plastic and cures very strong, thus, becoming as one with the original material. I've tried epoxies and PVC glue with marginal success.

    Check out plastex.net best stuff I have ever used.Stronger than abs and the other pvc glues . You can even make sections that are missing like all the mounting studs that are usually snapped off . Easy control for filling and easily sanded aswell. This is the best stuff on the market we have used everthing in the shop and this stuff works!
