what is "Nosed and decked"?

    Now for the classic hot rodders - what is "Nosed and Decked" mean? I've seen this in many ads - but what is the correct definition ?

    Nosed is Chrome from hood is removed and filled. Decked is the same but for the rear.I think.

    More specifically, most old cars had rather large hood and trunk ornaments. It refers to removing them, welding the holes shut, and cleaning up the looks.
