I think maybe my spark plug read ability is a bit rusty because I'm having a hard time trying to tune up my Street Demon carb on my 70 455, so, here's the picture of plugs of #1 and #5 cylinder, I'd like to read additional opinions about it reading

In my opinion the above plugs says that carb is running a bit lean, timing advance seems to be a bit too advanced but not enough to worry about but the base ring says that idle or parth throttle is running considerably rich

    What is your opinion?

How many miles on the plugs??? Give or take. It's hard to read a plug on a side shot. You need to be able to see way up inside the plug.

Timing looks maybe a touch high, but don't see any black specs showing on the porcelain. Looks like idle and cruise could use a touchance more, and wot could use a little less.........but again can't see up inside with a light a glass. You could cut one to see better

inside plug porcelain is as white as the part visible in pictures :). These plugs has like 150 miles since installed and have never performed WOT since then, just parth throttle driving and a lot of Uphill driving
