What wheel studs for torq thrust II rims?

i just bought some 15x8” and 15x7” torque thrust II rims for my 71 skylark. I assume the wheel is thicker than my stock Ssteel and will need longer wheel studs. Anyone know what length I should get? I plan on bringing it to the track so I would like to have them extra long and have the stud stick out of the nut for easy tech inspection. Anyone know the part number for pepboys or Autozone? Also, I have the font calipers off and will just pound the old ones out and new ones in. However, how do you install new studs on the rear without taking the axle out?

Can't speak for a 71 Skylark but I put 18 x 8 Torq Thrust IIs on the Electra without the need for new studs. Wheel hasn't fallen off yet :)

Though not necessarily 'must have' I did get hub centric rings to account for the slightly larger hub opening. Helps with initial alignment if nothing else.

That would be awesome if I didn’t need new studs.

I used stock studs, seemed plenty sticking out

You DO NOT need to install longer studs to put an aftermarket wheel on your car. You need the correct lug nuts. We will need to see a picture of the wheel. Typically, you will need a mag style lug with a shank and a washer.

Thanks all, I’ll post a pic of them when they arrive next week.

I’ve got 17X9 TT 2’s with AR lugnuts on all 4 corners. Didn’t change a thing to get ‘em on there. Not the same car, I know.

Unless your after the look of longer studs, stock studs work as mentioned already. I run torque thrust II with these:

    and stock studs.

like the wheel nuts u had to use with with the firebird rims . Whe I purchased my '72 GS, it had a set of Firebird alum rims (snowflake/honeycomb?). I had to buy the f'bird wheel nuts to keep the rims attached. Cost me over $100 from thepartsplace.
