The bearings Brian has work perfect.

I may have taken the scenic route to get the old bearing off but the axle wasn't damaged so I'll call it a win. Even if it makes more sense in the long run to swap in an 8.5 but I am glad bearings are still available for the BOP 8.2.

Put a little grease on the shaft wear it contacts the seal,so it’s not dry,and the seal doesn’t try and grip the shaft.

remember to oil the axle shaft when pressing on your new parts also... IF you already did not, oil well. :) LOL

Just to follow up, the machine shop was able to save the original retainers and reuse them.

Also, Walt's suggestion about checking ebay periodically has worked out well for me, as I was able to find a pair for $25, instead of the usual $175-$200!! You'll need to set up an ebay notification and be quick to act. It did take four years of watching and waiting before this much cheaper set showed up, though!

I just got 2 new ones shipped to me from Michigan... Call Summit racing and tell that the guys who make them for Year One went out of business.... They will call a manufacturer in Michigan...( I have the bearings in the box in the car still... Forgot the name of the manufacturer... I can tell you tomorrow if needed when I get to work on the car....)
