I am thinking of purchasing some Poly Glass GT's and going with the stock appearance for car shows etc. Would like some feedback if the Wheel Vintiques Buick Rally wheels will except a 1/2 wheel stud on the rear....
Also, anybody have a L 60 mounted on some of these wheels? Curious if I should go with a 9 inch or 10 inch with 5 1/2 inch rear spacing...
    Thanks,

No to the 1/2 inch due to the way the wheel nut has to centre on the bolt hole. I would go for 9 inch rim.

gstewart.................Have you tried this or are you speculating? I'm looking for someone that may know having tried. Could the bolt holes just be opened a little?

I just got a set of 15x8 Buick rally's from Wheel Vintique. They look really good with 255/60 BFGoodrich Radial TA's on them (though the tread on the TA's reminds me a bit of snow tires). It took eight weeks to get them, including shipping time.

Ive ran 1/2 studs on Ralley wheels for years on my pops car, they are stock wheels, but it still has plenty of taper to seat imo

Thank you sir, that is exactly the type of feedback I was looking for! Where did you find your open wheel lug nuts for the tapered wheels?

The only problem with Wheel Vintiques is some claim the chrome plating quality has slipped as of late. I bought mine probably 14 years ago and they look great still. Others have had them rust in the garage. Not sure if the 1/2 stud will fit or not. The only thing I would worry about is chipping the chrome if you have to open it up a bit.

Larry, the center where the studs are mounted is black powder coated.. in an earlier response it was noted that the stock wheel will fit a 1/2 inch stud.

Right but underneath may be chrome. My Wheel Vintiques wheels are chromed where the stock wheels are polished finish (center section). I think all the WV are like that, but maybe things have changed. But if the stock wheels accept a 1/2 stud, then so should the WV, so you should be good.
