I am putting together a 67 Skylark and have had no luck locating chrome rear wheel well trim. The car had fender skirts on it when it was given to me ( birthday present from wife & son) and I would like to put chrome trim on in it's place. Several people have told me that GS trim will work but it looks different to me. Others say Chevelle trim is the same. Any suggestions?

    Hi Chief
You're looking for a hard to find piece. The only thing that will work, is from a 67 GS or 67 Special. No other years or models will fit correctly.
Chevelle's and GTO's are completely different.
67 Sportwagons are "close", but about 2" too long.

66 Skylark moldings are close, and will fit "fairly good", allthough it will be obvious that they are not correct. I used them on my last 67 "driver" because I wanted to remove the fender skirts, but didn't want to shell out the big $$ that the 67 moldings would cost. I know I posted a picture of the difference in another thread here a month or so ago. I'll dig it up and post a link for you soon.

The 67 GS moldings are out there though. Just in the last 3 months, I know of 2 complete sets of 67 GS moldings that were sold right here on this board. :TU:
I think the going rate is somewhere around $200 for decent ones?
    Good luck
