Which dash emblem does your 70-72 have?

I guess those skinny silver bar ones are pretty rare. I have three of them I do not think they were service replacements. The ones I found were on Junkyard cars.

Curiousity got me on this one......I have a 1970 GS455 original 4 speed bench car, early Flint Dec69 build with standard (non-waffle) interrior that has the overhead dome light, pointed lenses, plastic radiator cover, clear overflow lid and it has that skinny silver bar Buick one on the dash (bottom pic). I never noticed it before until now.......thanks for that buzz kill or is it really very rare??? Just kidding....my 1970 GS455 convertible has the custom waffle interrior, May70 build and sports the other Buick style on the dash pad (top one). So is it a early standard interrior thing from 1970?? I was wondering if it was a post car Skylark option which would be the standard interrior until I checked my low option GS455 car in storage. I love learning new things.........

    BTW...both cars don't have AC.....

I have no idea what the dash I have with the skinny one was in other than a 70 Built after December 69 but it must have been an upper level car as not to many non Ac cars had the upper vent on the right side unless they were a GS or Custom. I wish I remembered what I got the three loose skinny ones out of. I do not think they were all 70's however. So that goes out the window.

Lon, You might have hit onto some thing with that non-custom interior theory.

tlivingd BIG BLOCK, THE ANTI PRIUS

All convertibles had the custom interiors. (waffle grain pattern) and mine has AC. That kinda throws this out the window. unless the wrong one was grabbed on the line.

They wouldn't change for shift would they?

My guess is they used multiple suppliers and their may have been a revision change. One of the suppliers didn't receive the revision or the mold was already tooled and it would cost too much to retool the mold. and the parts just arrived from whomever.

Pick one, none are perfect but can’t beat the price.
