Who are the Electra owners out there?

Yup, That's me, I drove the brown one a lot last summer. The white one is still getting the last tweaks of it's restoration finished off at Fred's Automotive on Fraser.
The red one I only drive now and then. I am now driving a 79 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham d'Elegance I just bought in Victoria with 20K original miles.... sacrilege I know but its a sweet ride!

Sorry this took me a while to post up. A model I have always wanted in my stable is a 1965 Electra 225 2-door. Well, after the Puyallup, WA show a couple years ago I checked craigslist not thinking anything good would show up. There was a post with something like "1965 Buick for sale" in the title - or maybe it was even more cryptic. Long story short this is pretty much a perfect match for what I wanted! I jumped on it and while it needs work it is actually in pretty good condition. A white on dark green 1965 Electra 225 Sport Coupe! Some gratuitous beauty shots by the lake:

Randy, that car is so nice :TU:
I think I never saw a two door '65 Electra here in Europe (apart from the convertibles)

Please post some interior photos :kodak:

Thanks guys! Like I said it needs work but for the price I think it was a steal. The interior is pretty nice, here's the only shot I have right now but I'll get more. The door panels are kinda coming apart, the headliner was covered (buckled panels and all!) with some horrible looking green felt material. Someday, I will go through the whole car. For right now I need to continue to work on the brakes and trouble shoot an annoying vibration under acceleration. :blast:

That's a pretty beast! I love the colour combination; and yes, it's probably rarer to see a coupe than it is to see a sedan or a convertible. Looks like all the convertibles are still around, judging on how many are on this board or on ebay at any given time.

    Production figures are very low:

    Electra 225: 2 drs sport coupe = 6,302
    Electra 225 Custom: 2 drs sport coupe = 9,570

Yeah, and the production numbers for my 66 Electra are about 5000 or so, and it seems every one of them except mine was on ebay recently. Same with the 67 Wildcat; there were only 2100 or so Wildcat Custom convertibles built, and I've seen 4 of them on ebay, and there's one currently on it from not too far away from here either. So much for rarity.

Nice ride, I like the colour, my 69 Wildcat was that colour before I had it painted white. Loaded up those cars are fantastic highway cruisers, the only problem you might have with it is speeding and falling asleep in those very plush seats.
