Also got to see my first widebody Hellcat. The event was smaller than our GS Nationals but Richard was there. Richard Rawlings that is LOL

Other than the fact you sold your classic Buick to buy one of these, what exactly does this have to do with V8Buick.com?

Hellcat, who gives a crap.. anyone with a checkbook and a job can buy one, and the smart money, if you want to drive it, will wait till the rich kids get tired of their new toy, and will buy it for pennies on the dollar.. If your a collector, ok, buy one new, and don't drive it much..

All of this is CERTAINLY no reason to be picking fights with longtime members who don't happen to agree with you that the latest Chrysler product is the best thing since sliced bread.

What prompted me to post was not the make of car, but the fact that Brian came very close to the technical definition of attacking another member, now if they were not serious and just having fun, then nevermind, but it sure did not look that way.

Interesting thread. Incredible times we are living in right now. Who could have ever predicted the opportunity to buy such cars again. I’m torn on buying a new muscle car. Not ready yet. If Buick was still around I’d like to think they would have something that would catch our fancy. I’d go HC redeye widebody.

The correct answer would be:

Hopefully, nobody here.

 

I would go to Buick (as many did in the ‘60s, early ‘70s, and ‘86-‘87) for a new or nearly new machine that would work for a family man and still run with the big dogs IF Buick offered it. But they don’t. (Don’t try to tell me a turbocharged four cylinder front drive platform is the bee’s knees; it’s still a compromise for economy’s sake). Buick seems to be the ‘sisterhood of cake’ based upon their ads, whereas Dodge is marketing themselves as ‘the brotherhood of muscle’. My Durango R/T (wife’s car actually) checks off a lot of boxes that Buick no longer does. ‘Mopar to ‘em!’

lol you’re correct. I misspoke! I was thinking of the demise of Oldsmobile. I kept picturing the late model Buick but I still made the incorrect statement.
