So we're out on a date with the wife. Took the "old car" (77 Riviera)instead of the new car. It's been hot & humid so the R-12 is chill'n the cabin. I stop for a light. Changes green and accelerate. Condensate water comes flowing out of the air box and soaks the wife's feet and shoes. I never hear the end of it all night!

Next day I put it up in the air and start searching for the drain...OK...anyone know where it is on a 77 B/C with ATC????

Score points..... tell her you knew she'd like a new pair of shoes so you rigged the whole thing as a surprise, then hand her a gift certificate.:TU:

After 31 years with a car guy I'd bet she secretly likes it.
I wish I could find a car girl!

Since I got no replies I finally got a chance to put the 77 Riviera up on my twin post lift. I had a spare A/C box assy for my 69 Eldo and back then they used a rubber burp valve clamped to a nipple on the bottom of the evaporator area of the case. So, I figured it had to be somewhere under the bottom of the Evaporator on the case. The only way to get to that area on a B-C-BZ body is through the inner fender. Removed the LF tire. I removed the 10mm bolt head attaching the lower inner fender to the fender at about the height of the rocker panel. Then there's a 14mm bolt head with a large fender washer located on the inner fender at about 10 o clock from the front hub. The inner fender is plastic and will bend out of the way to get to the base of the Evap. core box. I used a chunk of a wood 2 X 4 to wedge it out of the way. I used a dental mirror to inspect the backside of the box hidden by the bracket that the 14mm bolt head came out of. It's only a 1/4" hole drilled into the plastic. Look real close with a mirror and you'll see it. If it's plugged it kind of blends in so look close with a bright light. Opening it up it flowed about a cup of water that was trapped. Hmpff...GM cost cutting I mutterd.:af:
