Will a 71 riviera shroud fit?

Yes, you will need a long nose water pump 71 and newer and a 20 inch fan.

I know you can use a 73 white / clear fan shroud out of a LeSabre with a 455. It will have the overflow tank in the windshield washer all in one you can carefully cut them off to make the Fan shroud look a lot better. What color is the fan shroud how to 71 Riviera ?

I think I already have the 20 inch clutch fan as the car has air conditioning. Assume I’ll need the long water pump because of the 3 groove pullies.
Isn’t the 71 Riviera shroud black?

You need a long water pump because everything changed in 71 when they change the fan size an the fan shroud as far as a 71 Fan shroud in a Riviera I don't know if it's black I never seen one but it should work and function in your GS with a 455. Back in the late 80s I put a 455 in my 71 Skylark and I use the 455 out of a 73 LeSabre an used the fan shroud which was clear or what you could call white it had the overflow tank and windshield washer bottle attached I cut them off to make every think look more presentable work just fine.

Do yourself a favor and get a GM 7 blade 20" fan from another GM vehicle. Moves more air than the 5 blade 20"

Looks like the 18" 7 blade fan to me.

    I didn't know a 20" 7 blade fan existed.

I think it is a Chevy fan, might be more like 19 or 19.5".

Yes, Chevy, Olds, Pontiac, Caddy, basically every other GM division but ours lol

Mopar fan also, and will bolt up and work fine

So Buick fans are unique in the GM Family?

Apparently we are the only division not to get the 7 blade 19.5" fan. I'm sure some divisions also got our 5 blade 20"

It will work but it won't work very well. That shroud opening is 22". You either need a 20" shroud opening like on the 70 or a bigger fan, either 5 or 7 blade, 20"

See if you can measure that fan more accurately. Kind of hard to do with an odd number of blades. But from the pic it looks like the tape measure isn't on it correctly on the one end.
Does it have a part number on the blade somewhere.?

I’ll check it out on the weekend. It came with a bunch of 74 Buick parts.
