No - 1970 has a different bumper. Basically, all 3 years (1970-1972) have a unique combination of bumper/grill/headlight bezel, and hood lip molding. Sorry.
Yes, 70 GS and Skylark grill will interchange. :TU: The 2 center mounting studs may be different lengths though, if I'm remembering right.
A 1970 GS/GSX grille will fit a 1970 bumper. As long as your '70 Skylark has a '70 front bumper, you can use any '70 'A' body grille. What hood lip molding do you have? a 1972 hood-lip moulding may smash the top of the 1970 grille.
I have the 70 lip molding, i have another question, would the original 1970 Skylark grill fit correctly with a GS hood? I dont want it to look crooked or anything.
No alignment or fit issues there:TU: There is a specific hood trim for the 70GS hood that is slightly different than the Skylark piece, but they're hard to find and pricy. You'll be fine with your Skylark trim, the onlyones that will notice the difference are those in the "know" :beer
Sorry to bring this back from the dead...I'm assuming he meant any BUICK '70 A-body grille will fit on a Skylark? Obviously not a Chevelle/GTO/Cutlass grille...I'm on the hunt for a good grille for my '70 Skylark & am frustrated! Don't want to spend $500 on one...
I recently just bought a 70 skylark custom convertible and I believe it has the 71 front bumper/grille. I want it back to the original but here are pics of what mine looks like. Maybe this will help and any advice on how to go back to stock
Thanks for the help! I am looking for hood lip, grille and front bumper to replace it. Will I need the headlight bezels as well?
