    Hi all

My Buick has at the moment 14x? original Really Wheels. They are in a terrible condition and i want buy 4 new Rims from partsplace. Now the question is, fit the 15x7 ? Front is Disk and back drumbrakes... What tiresize is fitting without rubbering or cutting sheets?

    I guess Front 235 and back 245 or 255.... ?

    So nice greets from Switzerland!

15x7 fits. same bolt pattern. do a search as there are other running 51x7 rallye rims and u will see tire sizes they use. there a other sources for rallye rims and i would search that also. my rims came from wheel vintiques in 2006.

15x7's with 245/60/15 all the way around are what you want.

I believe the 68-69 Skylark/GS's will like 5" back spacing better. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    My car has

    front: 15x7 rims, 4.5" backspace, 225/70/15 tires

    rear: 15x8 rims, 5.5" backspace, 255/60/15 tires

    Measure twice, buy once.

I am running 15x7's all the way around. I have 215/70-15's in the front and 275/60-15's on the back. That is the biggest tire you will fit on that wheel. It is a little bigger than recommended but I have never had an issue and I know others that have done the same. I Have heard that if you want to run a 15x8 wheel you need a 5" backspacing on the rear for a '68 or '69. My '68 had 15x8 weld wheels on the back when I got it. The quarters were cut so they would fit with a 235/60-15 tire-and they still rubbed. I planned on replacing the quarters so I sold the welds and bought stock 15x7 ralleys. Now everything fits like it should with a nice stance.

I think you want 5" B.S. for the 68-69 body style. 4 1/2" works great on the 70-72 for a 15 X 8" wheel, but you want 5" for your car. Try this V8 member http://www.v8buick.com/member.php?u=15262 He can probably build the wheels for you.

So mcwheel makes me a offer. So now im want running 245 around all 4 wheels. Front 15x7 BS 4.5 and back 15x8 BS 5.5 is this right? enough backspace to run without rubbering?

    Ok,

If you want to run all the same size tire just buy the "WG" offset buick rally wheels and run 245/60/15

If you want to run big and little tires and 7's & 8's wheels then run front 15X7 with standard offset and 225/70/15 front and 15x8 with a 5 inch back space with 275/60/15 rear

If you want to run 15x7's all the way around BUT smaller in front and larger in back then run 225/70/15 in front and 275/60/15 rear

BUT to fit the 275/60/15 tire with a 7 inch rim on the back you MAY have to trim the outer inside edge of the wheel well.

Hey david, thanks for you response, but what can you say to my wheel settings? Larry guess its should be fine.

Again front Tire 245/60/15 on 15x7 Wheel with 4.5" Backspace
back Tire 245/60/15 on 15x8 Wheel with 5.5" Backspace

So thats the last question to the hides pros :) i hope it ....
