Will posi traction diff. (1964) fit a 1966 Riv?

    Looking to change to posi traction I found a 1964 diff. - 3.07 ratio in good shape - did the re design in 1966 include a change that would make this not fit? Thanks

    It won't fit. The big car 9 3/8in posi's are as follows; '61-'62, '63-'65, '66-later (I think thru '70).

    Short answer - NO ! '66-'70 are same, and can be swapped. :TU:

    Careful here, not necessarily true. Sometime during the 1966 model year one carrier bearing was increased in diameter, making the early '66 carrier unique and not interchangeable with late '66-'70.

    I'd be interested in the diff for my '64 Wildcat if it's available. I'd want the center section only.
