You need to find out the backspacing. If they are 4.5 inch they should fit. I really like Hankook tires too. I have 3 different set on my drivers and when I decide on the tire size for my wheels that are 17 rims with 4.5 back spacing I will buy another set of Hankooks.

Rims are about 220 each new online and the tires new are about 120. each. I wouldnt go more than 1000.

I have the exact same tire size and rim width combo on my 64. Backspacing on my wheels is 4.5" on the 7's and 5" on the 8's and they fit perfect. I have disc brakes front and rear which does push the wheels out about a 1/2" so you should be ok if those wheels have 4.5" b/s and you still have drum brakes on the car.

Looks good! What is the ratio number (middle) on the tires?

    225/??/17 and 255/??/17...........

I am getting ready to order the same Hankook tires and I want 275 but I dont know if they will fit.

275's will fit if you pay carefull attention to the backspacing.
275/45-17 or 275/40-17 if you want a little shorter tire.
