I want to buy some American Racing Torque D's, I was looking and I think I want to get 15x6's for the front but they have 3 5/8backspacing and the backs are 15x8.5's that have 3 3/4 backspacing, will these work on my 65 Skylark? :Do No: Will 14" wheels fit on the front of my car even though it has stock A-body disc brakes?Or better yet what backspacing do I need for these wheels to fit?
    Thanks,
    Philip

From what I have found so far, the fronts can be 7" with 4.5" BS or 8" with 5" bs. 6" would be around 4", maybe down to 3 5/8, but watch the outter fender top. The rear i'm not too sure of yet, but have been told a 8" with 5-5.5" BS works.
I couldnt use my old 14's when i switched to disks.

I can get 15x8s w/ 5.5 BS on the back of my 65 using 28 x 10.5 x 15 M/T Sportsman pro's or 28.5 x 11.5 x 28 Hoosier QTPs. However, I have to use spacers to keep the QTPs from rubbing on the inner fender even though they have the same section width/height.

    Pro
    Tread 8.3
    Sec. 11.2

    QTP
    Tread 10
    sec. 11.2

Definately do not get the 15 x 8.5 with 3.5 back spacing, I have a set that I tried and they do not work. If the BS was increased to 4.5 or 5" it may do better, is that an option?
