I found a pair of 15x10 wheels with a 6 inch back space. Want to run a 28x10 slick on my 72 GS. Will these work?? Thanks for the input

5 1/2 - 5 5/8" centers a 10" wide rim in the wheel well of a 70-72 Skylark/GS. Might rub or be close on the inside edge.

Do you have the exact section width and tread width of the tire you want to run?

if you can find a 3/8" spacer the wheel should be centered in the wheel well and in that case you can easily fit a 28x10 tire... I have 28x12.5" tires on my 70 Skylark, no wheel well mods.

Yeah, but a 3/8" spacer would require longer studs or you'll have about 2 threads holding your tires on.

With the tires you stated, it should all fit. My tires, 325/50R15's are on a 15x10 with 5-5/8" BS with a 10.8" tread and 13" section width. So yours being over 3/4" narrower, the extra 3/8" BS should still be OK. You'll definitely have no clearance problems with the fender well. But I'm sure you'll be close on the inside by the frame. I can just stick a finger in between the frame and my tire.
