Hi , I'd like to know how to remove those 68-69 (maybe other years as well) wiper arms ... passenger side mostly .

I just don't want to take any risk of broking or scratching anything ....

Here's a couple of pictures of it

    Thank you

The tool I got for this is more like a pair of pliers. Super easy to use. Never have seen the on Frank has?

I have a pair of the plier jobs, too. I have one other tool, it's an old Anco tool that used to be in every gas station back back in the 60's and 70's. When I pumped gas back in the 60's, people would come in for wipers at 9:00 at night. It's what we used to get them off. It's just the simplest thing with no moving parts, kind of like a can opener. It worked GREAT!

I have the same tool as in post #2 and it works great on my '67. There is a picture on the package that shows how to use it. It's super easy.

It's also Made in the USA! You can get that tool as cheap as $8.00 or so new + shipped on ebay. I like to wrap the part that touches the top of the arm with duct tape before use to prevent scratching. What's good about that tool compared to the pliers, is the pliers are only good to remove the arms. This Lisle tool is good to install them, too.

With the tools in hands how do you use it ? Do you pull back a kind of clip or something underneat ? And then pull em up ? thank you

There is a tiny clip on the end of the arm underneath. It's maybe 1/8 or 1/4" long, it's often missing. The arm slides on a serrated shaft, then the clip kind of holds it on. The spring that holds the arm against the windshield keeps pressure on the arm where it attaches to the shaft. The pressure from the spring will hold the arm on even if the clip is missing. You can get them off withe a screwdriver or pair of pliers, if you lift the arm off the windshield while prying with a screwdriver, or putting pliers underneath and lifting. It sounds way more complicated than it really is, truth is...I could probably take them off with no tool, or a coin or key. But...I've taken 100 of them off maybe! The tool makes the job easy and safe, with no damage to your parts. Your arms are nice, it's $8-9.00 well spent, you will use it again.
