I HAVE A BADLY SCRATCHED DRIVER DOOR WINDOW AND WOULD LIKE TO FIND AN ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT. HARDTOP OR CONVERTIBLE WITH LJ DATE CODE. I BELIEVE ALL GM A BODY IS SAME ON 65.
Loren, Should be a clear because all of the tinted I have seen say "soft ray" on LOF original glass. They will also designate AS1 for windshield glass or AS2 for any side glass. Thanks,Dan
I have 3 sets of doors, convertible and hardtop.I was just up there today to get a couple bumpers. Can you wait till I get back there this week end? Its a 90 mile round trip.I should have what your looking for from one of them. Tom
Dear Dan, Loren, Tom, and V-8 Buick fans of clear glass, I've replaced both the windshield and (believe it or not) the tailgate window on my trusty wagon with reproduction glass windows from Piklington Classic: http://www.pilkington.com/en/us/automotive/pilkington-classics Both pieces fit perfectly and look original. I haven't needed to replace any other glass, but give them a call. They really seem to know their stuff because they seem to have the original molds. You can't to much better than that. Cheers, Edouard
I am in no rush and just thought I would give it a try here. The aftermarket glass seems to work fine, but they charge extra for correct date markings and I have perfect glass everywhere except the driver door. I have had a few parts cars and I think I screwed up and separated the only other complete set that I had. These are LOF originals and are marked LJ-10 in the corner. Thanks
