Looking for a set of four factory installed shocks. They do not have to work but they have to be non pitted and non rusty. Someone have a Arizona parts car with them on it ? Thanks , Scott 918 381 1234 .
The reason I ask is that I remember a thread from Duane regarding spiral shocks vs the conventional shocks. IIRC, I think he said that cars that came with a factory rear bar got the conventional style. Youll have to look up the thread and read it. That way you can get the right ones. How involved are you going to get? Because they're dated too.
Getting my GS ready for a Survivor Certification and am looking for factory installed parts , not just NOS stuff.
Guys, It didn't have to do with tire size, the shock type for 1970 was determined by when the car was built and if it had the F41 suspension or not. And there you go, you are looking for survival certification but are putting a rear sway bar on, which would require boxed trailing arms and different shocks. Do they judge the car against the build sheet? If so............................. If you want to talk about this PM me with your phone number and times to call. I am not going to type a letter on the board explaining all of this. Duane
For Judging, If you are taking off the rear sway bar then you need to do a set of spirals. Pliacells were only used with the F41 suspension in your (car built) time frame. Duane
