WTB - Front Bumper for 72 Skylark or GS. Looking for one in good to great condition. No dents, dings. Straight. Thanks.
I have one. I have an extra 72 front bumper. It does need rechromed, only because of the hazy, spider webbing original chrome. I would have to have 135 + shipping. Let me know. Troy
Re: I have one. Is the bumper straight? No accidents? No dents? I don't mind it needing to be rechromed as long as it's in good condition.
I will take some pictures of it for you. I will need an email address that I can send you full size pictures of this part. I will be out of town tonight. But will be home in the afternoon tomorrow, Friday, and can take good outside pictures. Then I will give you my impression of it as well. But, I feel it is a great core. I will update you tomorrow. In the mean time, maybe send me a private message with an email that I can send picts to. As well I will add them here on this thread but those pics will be smaller and resized. thanks! Troy
bumper update Steve, I would like to talk more about the bumper. I have taken it out of the cardboard and looked at it. I feel it has no bends or "dents" But it does have a few gouges. most of them are under the license plate mounting point. But it also has some by the passenger side turn signal opening. I will add those pictures here still. Troy
If you were to send the bumper to Desert dog Plating in Chicago, they wont care if the bumper is damaged or not, all one price and part of the service. They also do excellent work. Mark
Yes I do still have it. I have been waiting on the Money Order to come in for this bumper. Steve says he sent it out on the 28th of July. I'm waiting on it and have been talking with Steve over email. But, Steve is thinking the Money order isn't coming because it hasn't arrived yet. I hope that the mail is just running slow and the MO isn't lost. I would like for Steve to update this to see if the bumper is still available. I will wait as long as I can for his MO to get here. Wednesday of this week will be 2 weeks of mail time from Cali to Indiana. That seems extreme to me. I hope the MO hasn't been stolen or lost in the system. Steve, any thoughts? Troy P.S. I still know where there is a 71 rear bumper too.
I have no idea what happened to the MO. It was sent latest on the 28th...give or take a day or two for processing US Mail. Like I said George Nenadovich got my MO in 4 days for the HEI distributor. The address I sent it to in Indiana was very confusing, but I assume Troy's never had problems getting regular US mail. So....don't know what to say. My wife is going back to the place she got the MO to see if they can track this. If someone else wants to buy it, go ahead and sell it. If the MO turns up, just send it back to the address labeled on the envelope.
Confusing, no doubt! Yes, our address system changed dramatically years ago when the 911 system was put in place out here in the country. I used to have a PO Box address. But, as you said, I have had that address now for 10 years and although it is a busy addy, I get the mail. I am still going to wait, I will wait until you tell me differently.
