Hi Joe, Yep. I have looked at those. I thought I would try here to see if I could get lucky on the TA pump first. That RobbMc is in my sights. I need something that can handle a bit more than 450 HP, I think with my build, I will be too close to the edge for my liking. Especially since any kind of upgrade will cost me mucho in shipping charges plus the parts. Maybe somebody has one of those TA pumps? ray: I really don't want to pony up 200 bucks for a fuel pump, but I might have to.
the robbmc is good to 550hp. did you see the option ? for 100 bucks they build it to handle 1100hp. Shawn riley is running that one. GL on the hunt my friend.
Hey Ed...I have a T/A fuel pump still in the box from a few years ago. I had several over the years, sold all but this one. Planned to keep it but you need it more than I do these days. The pump plating shows some shelf rub/wear but will not effect the performance. From TA website: "The Stage 1 mechanical fuel pump is one of the most popular upgrades for street/strip performance engines. A larger fuel bowl and higher pressure output ensure adequate fuel delivery on most engines. This is the same pump that was used on original Stage 1 455 applications. Pump features a return line fitting which all original Stage 1 cars and all air conditioned equipped big block cars utilized. Applications that do not have a return line provision can simply plug the fitting. Supports combinations up to 450 HP."
