Need a right rear quarter panel for a 65 Skylark convertible. The parts I need could probably be used from a coupe - I need from about the front of the wheel well to the bumper and from the trunk edge down. I have some potential trade parts including both front fenders, both coupe/convertible doors, headlight buckets, coupe dash, grill, tail lights and some trim pieces. Mark Kennewick WA
I have a rear clip in Lake County CA (95453) from a four door sedan. that would give you good metal from the belt line down and around the wheel well opening. You would need to come to CA to get it, but that is just a one day drive for a younger person, me it would be two. If you want the whole chip it is $500, it you want just the right side it is $500, I don't want to cut it up but will if you really need it. Could you PM some pictures of the damage so I can determine if what I have will work for you?
I have one from a 65 2dr. ht. if is the same. also need pictures to see exactly what you need. Thank you, Les
Thanks, I just put it back in storage as it is too hot (100+...) to drive for the next week or two. Give me a couple of days to get the photos
Mark, I really don't need any of the parts because I have a ( 2 ) 65 2dr. ht. One I am working on and the other one is a parts car. Can you mark out the section you are looking for. I really can't tell in the picture. I will send you pictures of the one I have. It is still in the vehicle and this week end we are having a yard sale so will be kind of busy. I will get back to too as soon as possible. Thank you, Les
I was also asking for pictures to see if a four door quarter panel has all the metal you need. I don't need any parts, have too many as it is.... I assume Les is closer to you than I am, so his is probably the best deal.
The car is in storage due to the heat (supposed to be 100+ through the weekend). Give me a day or two to dig it out and take some detailed photos.
Sorry for the delay. Two weeks of 100+ weather and spent this last week getting two kids ready to leave for college ate all my spare time and ambition. Here is the issue I have. The upper portion of the fender is buckled (Fender small 2) and the bottom part from the center of the wheel well back is dented and rusted (Fender small 5). The trunk still opens and closes easily enough I haven't tried a body shop yet to see if it is repairable, but I expect it will be cheaper and easier to replace if possible.
Mark, I will take some pictures and get them to you if you are still looking for one. Let me know. Thank you, Les
Mark, I am really sorry that I haven't got back wit you. My wife has had some surgery's and that has taken up most of my time. I will try to get the pictures to you this weekend. Again I apologize. Thank you for being so patient, Les
