I saw a truck the other day with a set of NASCAR looking yellow raised lettered tires. They were DOT tires. Any idea who makes those?
I went to Watkins Glen a few weeks ago and there was 2 pickups there with them on.Those were Goodyears.Looked like decent tread on them too. Pat
Did they have the word "NASCAR" on the sidewall? With the type set so it blurred at one end like it was spinning? I saw a set of those on a late model Monte Carlo while sitting in a McDonlad's lot having lunch last week. They were Goodyear tires. I liked them! :TU:
Same here, saw them on a new Monte this spring. The car was ALL done up with Nascar this and that everywhere.
For a while Ford made a Nascar edition F150, shortbed, single cab that came stock with black "nascar" type wheels and yellow lettered tires.:TU: This one...
They are the Goodyear Eagle #1 tire. Have them on my GSX and it is a great combo so don't copy it p Seems to be a half way decent street tiire. Rides good and wears well.
No way dude!! They are way cool, I'm thinking about getting a set of cheap black American Racing rims and a set of those hides. Slap 'em on a Regal beater with no Landau roof and shave off the front emblem for that throw back 1984 NASCAR look!! I wouldn't blame any dudes for copying it........................I'd encourage it!!:beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer
Ok Dave, How about we do a franchise on the color and setup schemes. Just send me $25 :Brow: and I will register your whole package for your area (need money for winter engine rebuild) I think it would be really cool to have a Harry Gant paint scheme on a regal that is really hot. In fact Buick did some Gant regals fro Skoal. Does anyone have one of them?
Doug, Harry Gant was the man..........................How about one of those bad Regals from the movie Stroker Ace? Too bad Burt Reynolds drove a Thunderbird. Didn't Richard Petty drive a Regal in one of those years? I think every NASCAR driver that won a race in the early eighties drove a Regal. This is starting to sound like a good idea for a drag car!! I like it!!
I believe King Richard drove a Pontiac GP in those days.He had a falling out with Plymouth and ran Pontiacs. Pat
