I have Yukon gears in my GS. Monzaz would know. If I remember his comments correctly on the Yukon Posi, it was a quality unit.

If it is for anything other than street driving, put the good knurled steel clutches in it that are still available from Eaton.

DO NOT use 800# springs for anything... IF you need that kind of hook FULL SPOOL is what you should do...
If there are carbon fiber or Composite clutches the 800# preload will eat those clutches up FAST... Street driving is even worse turn corner slow ...THINK sand paper. The more you push on sand paper the more matter it takes off...Right? I personally have raced with 200# springs to mid 11.50 Car... so 400# should be plenty. REMEMBER too if you are racing maintain your clutches shim for optimum hook. if your going years with out ever checking and you punishing parts ...you will pay for it.
Steel clutches for 800# only nad you WILL GET CHATTER... Have fun.

I use 400# Posi units from Yukon in all my builds and that is what we have a sale on in the parts section for 8.5 and 12 bolt chevy RIGHT now. :) Jim

    Take care
